2009 AREA 11-L SCHOLARSHIPS
Every year, Area 11-L awards up to four (4) scholarships to high school/current college students who have demonstrated meaningful volunteer contributions within their Region as well as having achieved exemplary academic results. In addition, each applicant submits an essay on "volunteerism" as well as letters of recommendation.
Area 11-L is pleased to announce the 2009 scholarship winners, as follows:
Taylor Holcombe - Region 630 - Rancho Santa Margarita
Katie Mahoney - Region 84 - Mission Viejo
Jonathan Puckett - Region 111 - San Clemente
Michael Ramires - Region 85 - Lake Forest
Congratulations to this year's winners! Each will be receiving a $1,000.00 to help further their educational pursuits.
Welcome to the home page for AYSO Area 11-L. Located in South Orange County, it is the single largest Area within AYSO from the standpoint of number of participating players. Our over 22,000 players (boys and girls) range from the ages of Under 5 to Under 19 and have the opportunity to enroll in a variety of programs, designed to appeal to age and skill levels, that are conducted on a year around basis. These offerings are a direct result of the time and effort donated by an excellent cadre of volunteers throughout the Area..
The Area consists of 10 Regions, including the communities of Laguna Niguel, Mission Viejo, Lake Forest, Foothill Ranch, Portola Hills, Laguna Beach, San Juan Capistrano, Dana Point, San Clemente, Rancho Santa Margarita, Aliso Viejo, Laguna Hills, and Ladera Ranch.
